Something I did that helped make the jump was buying a separate drive to put linux on and removing my windows drive. It makes the act of switching back to windows take more effort, but didn’t remove the possibility altogether.
I also got an enclosure for my M.2 and can use the windows drive as a super fast thumb drive and use that to transfer the files from the windows drive that I care to keep on linux. (none of it is critical, not worth doing proper back ups)

All I’m gonna say about Rossman is that he gives me the same Ick that Mr Beast has given me since long before the allegations about him hit. So far my gut has never been wrong about people that make me feel this way.
I had to drop everything and move halfway across the country on somewhat short notice (long story) and could only take what fit in my car. One of those things was my random cables/adapters box and it came in handy almost immediately. No one will ever convince me to throw that shit away.

My biggest issue with this format, it has to make up an opinion no one has in order to refute it.
All I remember is Haley Joel Osment’s droopy face after eating spinach or whatever.
I don’t think they do, most of the MS doomerism I see implies they probably never tried to turn any of it off. I uninstalled one drive years ago along with turning off the ads and telemetry and its all stayed that way ever since, but I keep getting told all of it will be back with the next update. I update when it prompts me to and it never undoes my settings.
If people didn’t come out of the woodwork to tell people welding was so simple that their 5 year could do it then maybe they’d be less turned off by the time and effort it takes to learn it.
I don’t understand why so many people take the existence of linuxsucks communities so personally, the reddit version has more linux users defending it than actual hate, but that one was more meant as a “legitimate grievances against linux” community as opposed to what the lemmy version seems to be.
Just block and ignore like anything else. Its okay if there are people that don’t like the thing you like.
