I have a Ultra 9, 5090, and 64GB RAM. I can comfortably run a 32B model which gives me the speed and performance of the best GPT/Claude model from about two years ago. It is functional? Yes. Does it do good work? Meh. Does it compare with the latest code models out now? Not even close.

I’ve been seeing this on my HA instance too. I expose HA though cloudflared. So I did some investigation and google has several primary ASNs I blocked them all via Cloudflare. The GCP one is AS396982 so that may be enough but I blocked them all because fuck Google.

Look, I know you are trying to make a point and/or troll, but the fact of the matter is that it is perfectly legal to do so. At least in the US. Even if parents don’t like it or protest and even if they get some wanna-be-superhero cop to make an arrest, it would just get thrown out in court. As long as it is public property anyone can record or take photos of anyone else.

Sure, but let’s be real, the vast majority of people who would buy these would be American.
Also, the same privacy laws apply to the UK and I believe Canada and Australia. That’s a pretty large population, not just Americans. Sure the EU is well known for having much better privacy laws (much better laws in general IMO), but by no means are they the majority.

You absolutely can. There is no expectation of privacy in any public place except restrooms. You just can record in private homes and of course any private business can set their own rule for recording, but otherwise anybody can record anything in a general public place.

And every teenager on the planet. Granted teenagers are huge narcissists, but they are supposed to be.

Honestly, that is just maturity. I read the daughter to be in their 20s and I hope they are because then I can excuse it. If they are in their 40s, we’ll then that is just sad. I certainly looked down on my poor family when I was younger, now that I am older I treat it more as a lesson of how far I have come with hard work and gratefulness for being able to escape it.

As someone who is moderately successful and lives in a major Metropolitan area but had a poor, country upbringing; I get it.
I have tried taking my parents to nice upscale restaurants, both so that they could experience something they otherwise would never have been able to and also as a showcase to them of my success. It was very clear that they did not fit into those environments and I have since stopped trying to bring them up and just meet them where they are, but I do get it.
