I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: We have a HUGE Apathy epidemic right now, and it mostly affects younger people (Gen Z on down mostly but some younger millennials too). I think this is mostly because they were born too late to realize that things don’t actually have to be this way and could in fact be better if people just…tried. But they’ve been beaten down and had the phrase “that’s just how it is/always been” beaten into them so much that they just stopped caring.

Potentially unpopular opinion: This analogy implies that the impoverished are a threat to politicians and rich people, yet sadly I feel like today’s society will/would never fight back. We have a major apathy problem among younger millennials and younger gens I’ve noticed.

Happened to me. Got laid off from my dream job and my manager was holding back tears as much as I was.
I felt bad for him for awhile, but ultimately realized he was still the one that chose me over others to let go just because I was last in the door (nevermind that I uprooted and moved halfway across the country for that job).
Eventually, yes. But I’ll be damned if I don’t give it my all to go as deep as possible before it’s necessary.

That take of that take is a terrible take. In fact, it’s a circular argument because one could argue that you are, yourself, overgeneralizing anyone who has a dissenting opinion from your own.
People are allowed to like or dislike what they like or dislike. If you feel marginalized because your opinion is unpopular, whining about it doesn’t/won’t change anyone’s minds.
