Seconding Jellyfin. I used to run XBMC as God intended on my old OG Xbox but Kodi is so bloated and garbo these days from what I’ve seen.

A vague interest in taking my data away from “Big Tech” led me to get hosting a few years back and use a private email solution professionally hosted. Last year, I bought a pi then went through a breakup and didn’t touch it until recently haha.

I just had to rebuild from scratch but I’m running Flame dashboard, Vaultwarden, Nextcloud, Baikal, and a rickroll server disguised as a Docs app, because I’m a red blooded American. :P (and the boring stuff lol)

That’s how I feel gesturing broadly at the 3 or 4 states they’re still actively fighting against minimum marriage age laws.

Plenty of systems operate just fine without 4-6 hours of daily scheduled downtime. This is just deliberate.

You can find a nice pi 4 bundle on ebay for ~100 USD instead of buying a marked up new one. I got a 4GB pi 4B, decent size SD card, and a case with a fan for $90 IIRC.

Also, Linus Tech Tips recently did a video on pi alternatives. There’s a bunch now that pi’s have gotten so popular.

I just have a pi 4 running OpenMediaVault with docker and portainer. 😅

I’ve heard it runs real nice on pi in a docker container. If you’re just using it as a private instance you wouldn’t have to worry about scaling.

I made my first ever Twitter account a month or two before Musk bought it, for purely NSFW reasons. I’d log in every couple weeks or whatever, handle my business, and move along. After he bought it, I said whatever I’m not doing anything useful data wise so I’ll continue my few times a month visits.

First post-Musk visit, it’s fine. Business handled, close my incog window, move on.

Second post-Musk visit, I log in, and it’s CP as far as the eye can see. I immediately deleted my account.
