Our one cat has learnt to communicate with us using buttons and currently knows 44 words. 3 weeks ago I started teaching other verbal commands. She knows “give paw”, “sit” and “come here”. She also frequently opens doors and drawers and breaks into everything she can. Also she instantly manipulates any visitors by begging to be picked up and giving their nose a little lick. She appreciates car rides and going on adventures.

Our other cat licks smooth plastic, bites sticks off of plants and looks behind the tv to see where characters went after they walked off screen. Anything unknown (like new people) sends him into a panic, but usually he flees exactly into the wrong spots (like the exact spot those new people are obviously walking towards).

Lol, I’m not from the US. Just following US politics closely and doing what I can from a distance.

But yeah, US „left“ is more right than most country’s “right“. But nearly all of Europe is going through a political right-shift too, so who knows how long that’ll last.

Yep, I can’t stress enough how much I want every single one of the people investigated. And if they participated I want them to be punished. Heck, if it turned out that someone I currently admire and support did something horrible I’d want to know even more so I can stop supporting people like that.

  • Agreed. I wouldn’t want any of them killed. I’d be really entertained by a max-income type of idea where they have to make it without all of the luxuries they are used to. And especially for the people who never had to work (besides bossing others around) it would be so fun to see them in some average job, or even walking into a supermarket finding out what food costs.

Gorgeous colours in this picture. Looks epic and the cat seems way too floofy for its own good.

We also have a cat who needs to stick out at least one paw to be a able to sleep. He prefers to stick at least one claw into something soft while doing that too. One of our nicknames for him is “weird little guy” and he lives up to it on a daily basis.

Millennial here. I don’t miss being young at all. Sure my body is aging, but it doesn’t make up for how much better I’m doing mentally and emotionally. Also I’m grateful every day that I’m personally sort of financially ok, unlike a lot of our generation and the ones after. Helps being childfree though, because having children would be extremely expensive.

  • Our cat is basically fearless and gets bored easily. We like closing doors in our house upstairs to keep the temperature of the house more stable. Naturally when she is in one of those rooms we don’t want to lock her in so we try to get her out. She made that into a game of chase combined with hide and seek. Eventually that grew into a game she’d initialize throughout the whole house where she’d randomly fake-lunge at us and then sprint off. Or she’d hide behind a corner to ambush us. Sometimes we’d chase her. At other times we’d run away and hide and she’d come to find us and once she found us she’d run away again.

Problem is we’d be done playing after 5 minutes. She’d want to go on for 30 minutes at least. Anyway, she doesn’t initialize anymore since we got her a kitty friend. Now she plays a similar game with him that will sometimes go on for an hour at a time.

  • Alright, fair. Noted. Just because their marketing calls it ProRes RAW doesn’t mean it is true RAW. I didn’t look into it that much.

What I do know though and what my point was about is that it makes big files fast. Files of a type and scale you can’t effectively do anything useful with on an iPhone itself. So if you want to edit them (and why else would you shoot in that format?) then step 1 is that you want them off the phone and on a platform that can deal with them. And for that transfer speed matters.
