  • I work for a well known (international) business in the USA that used to be known for it’s good benefits. Man are they ass now. 14 days a yr, 21 after 5 years, and could work your way up to 6 weeks at 30yrs. no lunch break, no pension, and some expensive health insurance that covers nothing. Now it used to be 21 starting 28 after 5 yrs, a pension and a lunch break, with some impressive healthcare. And they took away the upper limit of vacation you could get to be 4? IIRC After 30 years. (So 1 extra week after 5 years, then one more after another 25).

The pay is fine but no nearly what it used to be. It used to be $10+ over the competition, now it’s barely $1. They are hurting to hire because of it too

  • Well its really hard to say tbh. Delivery isn’t available in the top section but has a different area code. On the bottom section it’s a different area code but has delivery as an option. Without checking if the top has free delivery without membership when the area code is fixed there’s no way to tell. Some places do offer free shipping on cart values over whatever designation they set.

Looks like they got a free protection plan though

  • I think bullet heaven works in the sense that you spray the bullets, but it is also a swarm survivor too so I can agree with that as well.

I don’t believe it was the first, but I do believe it was the one that brought the genre to the spotlight. Since Vampire survivors came out the genre has taken off and we’ve seen a great many takes on it which personally, I’ve enjoyed. I find the rather short gameplay nice for fitting into tight schedules and non-commitment gameplay

  • The cameras are usually nice enough for using as a dash cam if you drive. I use one of mine for a media device around the house, kitchen aid etc. I also use an old one for keeping my current one free of boatware, extra apps, and ensuring privacy on my carry phone (by not having anything google or tacking/data harvesting if I can help it).

Outside of that you could look into using them as potential network devices, DNS ad blockers, etc. I haven’t looked recently but using one as a casting device receiver for TV would be awesome over a Chromecast or the like. But not sure how those projects are going

  • IIRC inflation is the devaluation of the dollar and the laymen “inflation” people commonly talk about is the CPI, which is the actual price of goods and services (I.E. this is what you are actually paying, rather than how much power the dollar has overall). I could be wrong but it is an important distinction because it tells us exactly how F*ed we’re getting by companies and corporations.

TL;DR: Bugles cost way to friggin much now >:(

  • As an American I never understood the “you have to wait longer in Canada” argument. My sibling almost cut off a few of their fingers and was bleeding profusely and had to wait with a rag around their fingers for almost 4 hours in the ER before they got seen. This is in the US. I’ve had past partners waiting in large amounts of pain for upwards of 10 hours in the ER too (thankfully I brought some bugles to snack on). It’s a problem in general, I’d rather it at least be free
