It’s late and so maybe I missed it, but I didn’t see the part of the article that compares the abandon rate of slopcode with the overall abandon rate. Not saying that the premise is wrong or anything, but you can’t tell how bad something is unless you can compare it with the norm.

All of those cars and probably planes causing god knows how much pollution, just to get one of the world’s most despised men to a meeting where he’ll be too incompetent to have any effect.

If you look at the top above the plant, there is a stack of three books. THERE IS ENOUGH DEPTH TO PUT BOOKS THERE WITH THEIR SPINES FACING OUT, YET ON THE RIGHT, THEY’VE TAKEN AWAY ALL OF THAT DEPTH SO THAT THE SHELF WILL ONLY HOLD A SINGLE HARDCOVER BOOK, COVER FORWARD.

This furniture screams, “I want you to think I like books, but truthfully, I don’t even know how to read. Hardcover books are more expensive, so I’m fooling you even harder.”

It’s furniture for braggart morons. Let people brag all they want. Let them be morons all they want. But don’t make specialty furniture for braggart morons.

Realistically, a platform where you can delete your own questions so that they disappear for everyone isn’t the best platform for technical support communities. But a platform where you can’t delete your own posts is not the best platform for for a lot of other things, like privacy.

Two use cases without overlap seems like a good argument that there should be two different platforms.

I have heard that feral house cats will occasionally hunt and kill prey that is much larger than themselves. IIRC, I think they were giving deer as an example. At least it was an animal similar in size to a smaller deer.

I guess the meme would work better if it wasn’t a cat hideaway sort of thing or cat tree or whatever. Cats often use the shit out of those. On the other hand, if it’s just a cat bed…

That’s not a pointless warning or anything. Introducing other animals can get the zoo animals extremely irritated. They can go into hunting mode or rampage mode. It’s bad enough with just the humans there.
