Quake 3 Arena or if you don’t want to pay/pirate just install openarena. OpenArena should come be in your distros packages
I mean I used tools like UltimMC to get around having to make a minecraft account. UltimMC doesn’t provide the games themselves, that is downloaded from mojang’s website, UltimMC simply provides a way to get around basic DRM.
Most of the time, the tools I use to pirate are open source themselves so that isn’t really a problem for me.
Alright I solved it by just chrooting in again and deleted and reinstalled linux-firmware.
I see iwlwifi.
Arch because https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_is_the_best
Enough said.
You pretend like they are dead?
Those weren’t really white people. They were the Megolith builders that came before the farmers.
C++ people still change. Normal people update their version when new ones come out and adapt their pratices to “Modern Idiomatic C++”. While a ton of C developers have been using C89 since the 90s.
C++ get new features all the time. I think something like C would be a better example.
Ran yay in the background (forgot about it) and then a few minutes later closed my computer because I was all of a sudden at 100% cpu usage and I didn’t know what process was causing it and the easiest way to kill it would be too shut down the machine. I probably should’ve just opened btop and killed it but I was too lazy. I ended not being able to boot my computer for a few days untul some nice lemmy folk walked my through my first chroot rescue. It was a educational experience. Next time someone makes the same mistake I can help them out.
Less than symbol doesn’t seem to render properly.
Never used touchegg but it seems in there default config for SWIPE they have
<gesture type="SWIPE" fingers="3" direction="UP">
I wonder what happens when you change that fingers value to 2? It might not support it but its worth a try :).
Maybe try checking to see if you can get battery level from upower? Mught just be an issue with the GUI. upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0
. The next step after that is using acpi calls and seeing if those are working properly. If you enter the command into the terminal you can find the line that says percentage.
Oh nice. The terminal shouldn’t really be necessary for most tasks in Garuda. Although you might want to learn the how to do pacman -S (Thing you want to install)
to install things if they aren’t available from the GUI. The terminal often seems more daunting than it actually is.
Being physical engineer says nothing about intelligence. I am sure you would get by fine with Linux. Don’t be so down on yourself!
Maybe pick up a microcontroller and write a driver for so a device can connect with it? I had great fun writing an Hitachi LCD driver for the Arduino. You can get an arduino for like 5 bucks on aliexpress or you buy an even cheaper MC and play around with that.
I bought board months ago but never figured it out. It feels like the company has abandoned the product and all the support forums for it are filled with bots talking about their favorite blog
