When your boss invites you to a pizza party but instead of pizza, everyone gets such a costume and has to give it back afterwards for the next party
If working in corporate America has taught me anything they would expect everyone to provide their own costume and the party would be a one-off. And attendance would be mandatory. They would also announce bonuses for upper management, but no you don’t get one. Thanks for coming on such short notice!
