Fuck that, and fuck the hustle mentality. Do what makes you happy when it makes you happy and don’t let one thing consume all your free time and you will be truly happy.

Who tf cares that the other guy achieved more than you, if you are happy

Old guy here with some unsolicited advice. If you’re ever feeling this way, just remind yourself that you can’t change the past and it’s completely pointless to dwell on it. The only thing you have power over and the ability to change is always ahead of you. Focus on tomorrow. Make plans and stick with them. If you fail, there’s always opportunity to learn from that and do better.

Personally, I just remind myself that we’re all going to die anyway and nothing will matter after that. It weirdly keeps me going.

Teachings of Nihilism have saved countless lives, I believe. And it’s not like they are ought to poison the brain: often than not, it’s just the tool to get out of stalemate.

I first heard about nihilism from The Big Lebowski as a teen, and it’s kept me from “booming” myself multiple times throughout my life. My line of thinking is that if I went ahead and clapped myself, I wouldn’t be able to see what happens next. And nothingness would be leagues more boring than waking up, playing videogames, and having conversations.
