No no, we don’t say that anymore.

Now we say “I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts

Incidental recommendation for Morphine - far from a metal band, but a 3 piece bass/sax/drums unit that inspired Primus.

I knew Primus Sucks! Has been gone for a while, I just see it still from time to time. I guess I should stop haha.

Is that actually the new saying? I haven’t seen them in years. Sadly.

Morphine is great, I am not as well-versed with them compared to Primus. But they are good. Does their bassist only use 2 or 3 strings? Or am I thinking of another band?

Nah it’s not new, Claypool said it on stage once in the late 90s or early 2000s but it just sticks with me, haha. I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing them, unfortunately. Someday I hope!

I think the dude uses 2 strings actually, I’d forgotten that particular detail! Generally kind of plays them both at once too, little power chords. Delighted to hear you know them, I feel like they’re one of those acts that you feel like nobody knows until you discover them and suddenly everyone knows them

Exactly my thoughts. I’ve only seen Primus once long ago. Was also at a festival with a “VIP” area that I didn’t pay for. So I was like at least 40 m from the stage. I’d like to see them again, maybe in a smaller venue.

Can’t actually remember how I came across morphine, but being a bassist, the 2 sting thing was crazy/awesome.
