Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Power company oursourced their payments. Every method except autopay now has a feeEnglish
8·9 months agoExactly. I control when and how the money goes out. This way I don’t have to hope that a) the payee doesn’t make mistakes and take out more than once or more than the scheduled amount and b) that the payee isn’t caught in a data breach with my banking details.
At the end of the day, I just take a little time to make sure all the bills are scheduled for the right amounts over the coming few weeks.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Washer estimated "1 minute left", took 13 minutes to finishEnglish
1·1 year agoReminds me of our Palo Alto Panorama server. Commit jumps up to 99% after 30 seconds and sits there for the next 4-6 minutes, sometimes more.
Haha. My partner has Verizon, and they have parts of Marlborough where it just completely cuts out. I know that Wal*mart, and it’s just over the city line. AT&T is slightly better.
I wouldn’t say this is mildly infurating. :/

The K400 is everywhere. I have one; my friend has one - I can mention it to fellow geeks, and everyone knows what it is.
